Growing up, I struggled with my weight. As a teen, I the was the queen of yo-yo dieting. As a young adult, I suffered bloating, constipation, hayfever, allergies, sinusitis, PMS and migraine. I thought all of that was normal, until I learned the connection between food and health. I haven't stopped learning since...
My Story
I devoured every food and health book I could get my hands on. I experimented in the kitchen and radically changed the foods I bought and where I bought them. I was amazed as symptoms I had lived with for years disappeared from my life for good.
And I wanted to get better.
After having children, I began a much deeper yoga practice. I was interested in the body, the mind and how to keep both in clean and clear. I learned healthy ways to detoxify the body and explored traditional cleansing and healing practices. I built the strongest, healthiest body and mind I'd ever had.
And I was hungry for more.
I wanted to know more and I wanted to help other people learn what I had. So I trained as a Food Coach. That was a good start, but it was a drop in the ocean. I didn't just want to coach weight loss. I wanted to help people heal, to empower them to take charge of their own health, to prevent disease, and live well for as long as possible.
So I bit the bullet and completed an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine.
And here I am, sharing all of that with you!
